Digital Video Networks

DVN, the European daughter company of a big Chinese Network based in Shenzhen. I updated their design, a new fresh approach for a modernised version of the logo which ended with a new website. The challenging part was to work with developers of a TV set-top box and designing a HTML/Java based GUI. Mostly over Skype since dvn was a Hong Kong based company.

It worked out really well, we progressed pretty far. But, all good things come to an end and dvn sold their set-top box business in China to Cisco, who really wanted a head-start in that market. Unfortunately Mr. Snowden published some stuff they weren’t that proud of which resulted in some bans and boycotts from Chinese companies towards American products. To cut a long story short, Cisco’s China operations really suck.
